Manufacture of Colloidal Silver

The purest method of manufacturing Colloidal Silver is the electrolysis process. This is where silver electrodes are immersed in distilled or de-ionised water and a current is passed between the electrodes through this medium.

In today’s world there is no such thing as ‘pure’ water because of pollution and contaminants, so manufacturers use distilled or reverse osmosis treated water instead of our tap water which has so many chemicals added to it. ‘Pure’ water is an insulator and restricts heavily any flow of current, making the electrolysis process painstakingly slow.
